Tews has a great opportunity to join our manufacturing client in Orlando as an IT Supervisor. This is a hands on role leading the infrastructure team. The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring that technology services and support are provided efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to IT staff, including systems administrators, support technicians, and other IT personnel
  • Assign tasks, prioritize work, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of performance
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
Technical Oversight:
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT infrastructure.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues that require additional support and expertise.
Project Management:
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies or system upgrades.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services related to IT infrastructure.
Security & Compliance:
  • Ensure the organization’s infrastructure adheres to industry best practices and regulatory requirements for security and data privacy.
  • Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and system audits to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Implement and maintain encryption protocols, key management, and security policies for cloud and on-premise environments.
Reporting & Metrics:
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, project progress, and team activity for IT management.
  • Track and analyze helpdesk metrics to improve service delivery and identify areas for improvement.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in IT required
  • 2 years of leadership experience required
  • 5 years of ERP software experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Strong technical knowledge in cloud services, network administration, systems administration, and IT support.
  • 2 years of Cloud Infrastructure Management (e.x., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) experience required.
  • 2 years of Virtualization and System Administration (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent) experience required.
  • 2 years of Network Segmentation and Security required. For example, candidate must have experience designing and implementing network segmentation strategies to isolate sensitive data and critical systems, enhancing overall network security, configuring firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and access control mechanisms.
Preferred Certifications:
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
