Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or closely related field with two (2) or more years of supervisory accounting experience in a Finance office, preferably in a governmental setting.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage up to two staff members, including hiring, performance evaluations, and documentation.
- Supervise monthly financial statement preparation and reconcile cash deposits with dual control enforcement.
- Oversee fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and payroll transaction accuracy.
- Review and approve accounting transactions, reconciliations, and wire transfers.
- Prepare tax assessment rolls, validate bond debt service payments, and monitor governmental fund collections.
- Support audits, research special projects, and recommend procedural improvements.
- Process weekly/monthly wire transfers and review accounts payable cash requirements for fund availability.
