Opportunity for a Project Accountant at a Leading Construction Company!

Location: Maitland, Florida
Type: Full-Time, In-Office (Monday-Friday)
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

Our client, a reputable company in the construction industry, is looking for a skilled Project Accountant. This position is essential in managing project expenses, budgets, and contracts, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience, including 1-2 years in construction-related roles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and strong skills in budgeting, payroll, and expense management.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and prepare expense reports, manage project budgets, and implement accurate budgets for contracts.
• Review and prepare concierge contracts for renewals to align with business objectives and financial standards.
• Facilitate weekly invoice reviews, oversee payment approvals with the owner, and ensure accuracy in credit card transactions.
• Process bi-weekly payroll, collect and prepare timesheets for owner review, and enter billable labor and expenses into QuickBooks Online.
• Issue bi-weekly vendor checks, maintain accounting records for E2H properties, file monthly sales tax reports, and prepare vendor 1099 forms annually.
• Embrace new software tools and technologies to improve financial processes.
• Communicate financial details and complex issues to the Owner and/or Accounting Manager with clarity and precision.
