Our client is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to play a key role within the Project Management Office for a critical ERP Program.  The Program Manager is a senior level program management professional working with IT and the organization’s business stakeholders to define, plan and manage the execution and deployment of related projects. This is a seasoned individual with the experience and focus to manage efforts that solve business and IT problems related to the integration of multiple projects in the same domain. This individual is expected to plan and manage the coordination of all aspects of very large complex interconnected projects made up of business and technical resources, some of whom may be external resources, business partners or vendors. The Program Manager is seasoned in persuasion, critical thinking, conflict resolution, leadership, dealing with ambiguity and building rapport with the team and customer. The successful individual in this position is a skilled manager who is goal focused, can navigate through complex organizational situations and politics, introduce and execute change and help set priorities based on business value within their program. They will assure compliance with PMO standards, policies and procedures while aligning with program objectives and corporate priorities. They are also expected to coach/mentor project managers within the organization and work with PMO leadership to drive out improvements in the delivery of projects and programs. The Program Manager must have demonstrated experience in large scale implementations with a total value of over $10M.


  • Ensure projects within their program are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations
  • Responsible for the oversight and coordinated planning, prioritization and execution of the projects within the program
  • As circumstances and business objectives change, ensure that the projects, and the program as a whole, are responding as needed
  • Provide executive management with visibility into project progress, while supporting effective decision-making, approvals and direction to Project Managers
  • Ensure that the best possible use is made of internal/external resources, as well as shared project staff across the program
  • Ensure all project changes to scope, schedule or budget are communicated appropriately across all projects and the impacts to each project, and the program, are assessed
  • Provide regular program reporting and maintain ongoing communications to executive management, stakeholders and sponsors including status reporting and executive steering committee meetings.
  • Understand and communicate all related project interdependencies relative to scope, schedule and budget
  • Serve as a point of escalation and coordination for all project related issues and deliverables within their respective program
  • Establish the program business case and charter and ensure that it is consistently and appropriately communicated to all stakeholders as well as ensuring it aligns with business objectives/corporate strategies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor with key business partners to ensure that expectations are being met or exceeded
  • Provide value-added Project Management mentoring to team members to support successful project delivery


  • Expert knowledge of project management fundamentals, including leadership of project teams to meet deadlines and ensure successful, quality production of deliverables; development, execution and administration of project schedules; project management fundamentals including budget management, issue and risk management, resource allocation, change management and RFI/RFP development.
  • Able to build deployment plans for large scale implementations
  • Possess ability to have a strategic and pragmatic view of all active projects, in and out of the program, to minimize duplication of effort or recognize commonality between projects
  • Strong customer service attitude
  • Executive level presence and experience in working with C level leaders
  • Expert user proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office suite, MS Project and other related software
  • Strong verbal and written skills required – Must have a strong command of the English language; oral and written
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, expert in problem solving and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to act with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and able to change to the needs of the day to day requirements
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Knowledgeable in SDLC, Agile and Waterfall methodology concepts
  • Knowledge of Planview a plus
  • Able to navigate complex business situations
  • Seasoned facilitator with a proven track record of organizing large groups to achieve an outcome


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 15 plus years of experience with managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in back office services, operations, supply chain, or information systems-oriented environments
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience preferred
  • Minimum 10 years IT experience in either a PM, leadership or technical role
  • PMP, CSM certifications preferred, but not required
