Customer Service Representative Needed!
Pay Range: $18 - $20/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Direct Hire
About the Role:
Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. This role involves managing patient information, coordinating services for durable medical equipment and respiratory supplies, and ensuring exceptional communication with patients, referral sources, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify patient information for services and third-party reimbursement.
- Communicate with patients, referral sources, and co-workers to address questions and concerns.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for billing, insurance verification, and file management.
- Maintain accurate records, including route paperwork, deposit preparation, and referral logs.
- Support walk-in customers with retail equipment requests.
- Provide technical assistance and resolve customer issues with outside agencies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to meet industry standards.
- May involve occasional on-call responsibilities, including driving and delivering equipment.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if driving required).
- Preferred:
- Experience with medical equipment or billing practices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- One year of related work experience.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 35 lbs).
- Requires sitting, walking, standing, and occasional contact with medical equipment.
