Medical Equipment Driver and Customer Service Representative Needed!

  • Pay Range: $17.50-19.50/hour (based on experience)
  • Full Time: M-F 8am-5pm

About the Role:

Our well-established client in the healthcare industry is seeking a dedicated Medical Equipment Driver and Customer Service Representative to join their team. This role combines equipment delivery and setup with exceptional customer service. You will assist patients by delivering, maintaining, and educating them on the proper use of medical equipment and supplies while ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follows company safety policies, including using protective equipment.
  • Updates respiratory grid as needed.
  • Available for on-call assignments.
  • Completes delivery paperwork (invoices, work orders, logs, etc.).
  • Verifies insurance coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance).
  • Delivers, sets up, and maintains equipment using company/personal vehicle-travel up to 2 hours away.
  • Stays informed on company products, services, and regulations.
  • Educates patients/caregivers on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Keeps company vehicle clean and in good condition.
  • Maintains referral log.
  • Handles intake tasks (calls, faxes, data entry, chart assembly, paperwork).
  • Monitors office supplies.
  • Identifies and reports additional patient needs.
  • Ensures billing files are complete and accurate.
  • Prepares daily route tickets.
  • Assists walk-in patients.
  • Reports equipment hazards or product issues.
  • Coordinates deliveries with location staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel:
Daily travel using a company vehicle to patient homes is required.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with medical equipment or in healthcare-related roles.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 65 lbs).
