TEWS is recruiting a full-time Restaurant Support Manager for an Orlando based client. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, support and maintenance of Point of Sale, Back Office, and other store systems, as well as with other information systems deployed within the organization. This role may also be responsible for the management and development of a team who supports the store systems.

This is a hands on role for a Manager that enjoys mentoring and leading by example.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coaches, and develops System Support Team
  • Sets appropriate goals for direct reports; evaluate performance.
  • Appropriately assigns roles and duties to fulfill the needs to achieve department goals.
  • Serves as a point of contact for communication related to restaurants systems for both end users (Franchisees, stores and departments) and vendors of the restaurants system technology software. 
  • Sets up and reviews processes that ensure clear communication of concerns/ needs between end user and vendor to effectively commutate the items that need to be addressed for success of the End user.
  • Ensures all restaurants systems application and hardware is operating properly to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Conducts continued configuration to maintain restaurants systems meet the needs of the organization.
  • Leads project management of initiatives related to implementation of all restaurants related systems.
  • Leads in the tracking and reporting of rollout and implementation projects.
  • Directs in developing and implementation of training material, and processes that are designed to support restaurant systems rollout and implementation projects; partners with the Training Team and Operations as Subject Matter Expert.
  • Enforces compliance processed to restaurants systems (i.e. Promotion request and Items request).
  • Ensures accurate and appropriate information reaches all the technology systems being utilized through the company that are reliant on the restaurants systems for data.
  • Reviews and recommends new processes that will improve data flow between restaurants systems and other systems within the organization.
  • Ensures Restaurants Systems and procedures lead to outcomes that are aligned with all department needs to achieve companywide goals.
  • Gathers information from the end users as well as other departments and consolidate the information to develop use cases for development and implementation of advancements within the restaurants systems.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes all use cases for optimal advancement and overall user experience of the restaurants systems.
  • Reviews new technology released within the Restaurants systems to continually enrich the design of the restaurants systems to meet and exceed organizational goals. 
  • Leads project management of initiatives related to the restaurants systems
  • Communicates regularly with leadership to ensure projects are completed within timelines and budget; Assist leadership and has input into the budget for restaurant systems projects.
  • Leads system support team for the company.
  • Ensures effective responses to systems issues.  
  • Proactively researches issue trends and evaluates software and process changes that will address top issues affecting the end user.
  • Manages vendor communication related to top priority support cases.
  • Communicates and participates in the implementation of restaurants systems software upgrades and patches.
  • Ensures all support team members are adequately informed to support level calls as they pertain to restaurant systems.
  • Ensures restaurant systems vendors are appropriately addressing support issues and the system defects that cause them; reports to leadershyip for adverse issues.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Knowledge of the organization's brand and the restaurant industry.
  • Must have a strong understanding of restaurant operations, POS, and Back Office restaurant systems.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of technology; application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment that fulfills the needs within a restaurant and franchise system.

  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and 100/300 insurance coverage (if driving a personal vehicle).
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or business; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • At least 5 years related operations and systems experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Demonstrated strength in technical competencies with particular strength in technology, computers, programming, and project leadership.
