TEWS has an excellent full-time opportunity a Cyber Security Risk Analyst. This professional will lay the foundation upon which the organization builds its cyber risk management strategy, priorities, and investment decisions by identifying the organization’s cyber risks. The analyst will work with senior leaders across the organization to understand their cyber risk and implement management plans.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

Skills

  • 5 – 7 years hands on information security experience
  • Experience implementing a cyber security risk management framework within an organization
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executives, management, individual contributors)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proficient knowledge about securing networking, computing platforms, storage, database, middleware, network and systems management, and related application and infrastructure technologies and practices
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, work environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead regular company-wide assessments of the organization’s cyber risk
  • Engage business unit leaders to assess the cyber risk of their units and develop mitigation plans
  • Assess the cyber risk posed by third-parties and work with relationship owners to develop mitigation plans
  • Establish an appropriate cyber risk escalation framework that accounts for the organization’s risk appetite and reporting thresholds
  • Ensure the organization’s cyber risk program and capabilities align to industry standards and well-managed peer organizations
  • Assess cyber risk for new IT projects and help develop security requirements
  • Contribute to the organization’s cyber risk management strategy and prioritization
  • Continually measure and report on the company’s progress in addressing cyber risk and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s overall cyber risk program
  • Help the organization forecast and adapt to the constantly changing cyber risk landscape
  • Contribute to the company’s disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis management plans

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Risk Management or equivalent work experience and an active CISSP, CISM or CISA certificate
