Director of Legal Affairs Wanted for Hospitality & Services Company – Orlando-Based

Location: Onsite | Central Florida

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time, exempt | Typically 40+ hours/week

A dynamic company in the hospitality services and equipment space is seeking a Director of Legal Affairs to lead its legal and risk functions. This is a fully onsite role reporting directly to the CFO, and it offers a unique opportunity to shape the legal strategy and risk framework of a internationally recognized organization.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Florida preferred)

• 7–10+ years of experience in legal and/or risk management roles

• In-house counsel experience within a service-oriented or equipment-based business preferred

Skills & Attributes

• Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and liability management

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to balance legal precision with business practicality

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on business operations, policies, and procedures

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including vendor agreements and service-level agreements

• Oversee regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and support strategic initiatives

• Manage litigation and legal claims internally 

• Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks, particularly those involving customer safety and injury claims

• Manage insurance programs and claims processes

• Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, and other relevant laws and regulations

• Lead internal compliance training and communication efforts

• Partner with key departments including finance, HR, operations, and sales

• Build and lead a high performing Legal team

• Lead with a solutions-oriented, collaborative approach while maintaining high legal and ethical standards
