Job Description

Prestigious Tampa Bay area Investment Management firm seeks dynamic Director of Human Resources for Florida based headquarters.  This high visibility position will be the top HR position in the organization working closely with the senior management team undergoing rapid expansion.  Minimum seven years of progressive human resource experience in the financial services arena highly preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Direct And Guide Recruitment And Retention Efforts. Ensure All Pre-Selection Activities Are Completed Including Onboarding, Drug Testing, Background Checks, I-9/E-Verify Process.
  • Provide Advice And Guidance On Employee Relations Issues, Progressive Discipline And Documentation Requirements.
  • Develops And Monitors Procedures Within Departments To Ensure Compliance And Proper Application Of Company Policies And Governmental Regulations Including But Not Limited To  FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA And Worker’s Compensation.
  • Develop And Strengthen Existing Partnerships With Select University Career Placement Offices For Future Talent Acquisition.
  • Develop And Implement Compensation And Benefit Plans That Are Competitive And Cost-Effective.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement By Analyzing Processes, Monitoring Effectiveness And Making Strategic Recommendations For Changes, Improvements And Enhancements.
  • Manage Third Party Payroll Provider And Internal Team Member To Ensure Accurate Payroll Processing.
  • Develop And Maintenance Of Employee Handbook.  Recommend, Implement And Communicate Employment Policies And Procedures.
  • Function As Strategic Business Advisor Regarding Organizational And Management Issues.
  • Define And Track Key Metrics To Provide Transparent Access To Data And Proactive Response To Trends.

Required Skills
  • Experience In Financial Services Highly Preferred
  • Minimum Seven Years Progressive Experience In Human Resources
  • Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills
  • Excellent Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail
  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills
  • Supervisory Skills
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Employment-Related Laws And Regulations
  • Proficient With Microsoft Office Suite Or Related Software

Education/Certifications
  • BS/BA Degree From An Accredited College/University.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Certification Preferred.
