Database Analyst - 100$% Remote

Position Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Remote Database Analyst to join our team. This role involves regular extraction of data from both internal and external databases, transforming this data into actionable insights that aid in decision-making for our customers and internal departments including Legal, HR, Finance, and Operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated expert in database management and data analysis, eager to drive our data initiatives forward.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, support, and maintain all SQL queries for our e-Courier web reporting.
• Develop and sustain SSIS ETL packages for data warehousing to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
• Manage data extractions from MS Dynamics GP to support operational needs.
• Utilize tools such as DBxtra to create, format, and schedule user-friendly reports.
• Lead comprehensive data extraction and reporting initiatives to support both internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Collaborate with the development team to supply data essential for software applications.
• Maintain the performance and security of database servers and processes, including regular monitoring and optimization.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and consultant for database content within the organization.
• Participate in special project teams and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in SQL and database querying tools.
• Experience in designing and maintaining database queries and SSIS ETL packages.
• Familiarity with MS Dynamics GP and reporting tools like DBxtra.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capability.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and skills development.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis.
• 3+ years’ experience working with SQL, preferably MS SQL.
• Experience with VBA programming, database performance tuning, and SSIS.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and familiarity with AWS Database Migration Services is a plus.
• Python knowledge preferred.
