Job Title: Legal Support Specialist - Litigation

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Support Specialist to enhance our litigation team. This is a remarkable opportunity for someone with a passion for legal support to play a pivotal role in managing critical tasks, from drafting and filing appellate documents to facilitating communication between attorneys and clients. Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medium to large-sized law firm, specifically in litigation support or appellate practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with court electronic filing systems (CM/ECF, state appellate portals).
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and resources.
  • Prior experience in managing client relationships and expectations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous exposure to high-volume, high-stakes litigation environments.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks, including attorney time entry, travel arrangements, and processing of invoices and expenses.
  • Flexibility with work hours; full-time schedule from Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with the option to work from home on Fridays after training.
