Director of Legal Affairs Wanted for Hospitality & Services Company – Orlando-Based
Location: Onsite | Central Florida
Salary: $150,000–$200,000 (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, exempt | Typically 40+ hours/week
Benefits: Full benefits, 401(k), PTO
A dynamic company in the hospitality services and equipment space is seeking a Director of Legal Affairs to lead its legal and risk functions. This is a fully onsite role reporting directly to the CFO, and it offers a unique opportunity to shape the legal strategy and risk framework of a internationally recognized organization.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Florida preferred)

7–10+ years of experience in legal and/or risk management roles

In-house counsel experience within a service-oriented or equipment-based business preferred
Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and liability management

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

Ability to balance legal precision with business practicality
Key Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel on business operations, policies, and procedures

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including vendor agreements and service-level agreements

Oversee regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and support strategic initiatives

Manage litigation and legal claims internally

Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks, particularly those involving customer safety and injury claims

Manage insurance programs and claims processes

Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, and other relevant laws and regulations

Lead internal compliance training and communication efforts

Partner with key departments including finance, HR, operations, and sales

Build and lead a high performing Legal team

Lead with a solutions-oriented, collaborative approach while maintaining high legal and ethical standards
