Job Title: Controller
Salary: $150K+ (based on experience)
Full-Time, Onsite
Monday-Friday, Regular Business Hours

Our client in the construction and service industry is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee and manage their financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring sound financial management, strategic decision-making, and adherence to industry-specific accounting practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and leadership abilities to support the company's goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, with expertise in the construction, HVAC, or service sectors.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and advanced Excel, with strong knowledge in project accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, job costing, general ledger, and reconciliations, specifically within construction and service sectors.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, monitor budget adherence, and perform variance analysis across multiple projects and service contracts.
- Implement and maintain job costing systems to accurately track costs, monitor labor and materials, and drive project profitability.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, ensuring adherence to GAAP, regulatory standards, and company policies.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and alignment with company goals.
