You are:
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in benefits or employee benefit administration.
- Preferred professional designations include SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS.
- Proficiency in understanding benefits contract language.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements, including both current and pending laws that impact employee benefits programs, such as the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, Social Security, and DOL requirements.
What you will do?
Essential Job Functions:
- Implement, administer, and communicate a variety of employee benefit programs.
- Lead the open enrollment process, ensuring data accuracy, effective communications, and the creation of benefits guides.
- Oversee all benefits programs, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
- Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers, and vendors for timely and cost-effective plan administration.
- Develop and implement innovative programs that promote employee health and wellness.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and timely, accurate reporting and fee submissions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the benefits package.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.
- Provide training and support to benefits associates and staff.
- Oversee monthly billing processing and prepare vouchers for administrative fees.
- Manage and monitor the department budget.
- Audit the accuracy and performance of benefits staff functions to ensure high standards.
