Hybrid Event and Development Administrative Assistant (Contract)
Pay Rate: $20–$21/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
Tews Company is partnering with a leading nonprofit organization to hire a Contract Event and Development Administrative Assistant. This role supports the planning and execution of fundraising, donor engagement, and volunteer events. The ideal candidate enjoys event coordination, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in managing the details that make events successful.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and logistical support for events including fundraisers, volunteer initiatives, and community engagement programs.

Assist with event planning tasks such as venue coordination, registration management, and supply tracking.

Support event communications by helping prepare invitations, acknowledgments, and sponsorship materials.

Prepare and route donor acknowledgment letters and event follow-up correspondence for leadership review.

Manage event data and updates in CRM and project management systems.

Track event timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.

Coordinate inbound event communications and assist with vendor and partner correspondence.

Research, order, and manage inventory and event materials.

Assist with sponsorship fulfillment, ensuring benefits are accurately delivered.

Provide support to the Development and External Relations teams as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and data protection standards.
Qualifications
-
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One or more years of experience in administrative or event coordination roles preferred.

Valid driver’s license required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or event management software preferred.

Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Customer service–focused with a professional demeanor.

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
