Hybrid Event and Development Administrative Assistant (Contract)
Pay Rate: $20–$21/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM


About the Opportunity

Tews Company is partnering with a leading nonprofit organization to hire a Contract Event and Development Administrative Assistant. This role supports the planning and execution of fundraising, donor engagement, and volunteer events. The ideal candidate enjoys event coordination, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in managing the details that make events successful.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for events including fundraisers, volunteer initiatives, and community engagement programs.

  • Assist with event planning tasks such as venue coordination, registration management, and supply tracking.

  • Support event communications by helping prepare invitations, acknowledgments, and sponsorship materials.

  • Prepare and route donor acknowledgment letters and event follow-up correspondence for leadership review.

  • Manage event data and updates in CRM and project management systems.

  • Track event timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.

  • Coordinate inbound event communications and assist with vendor and partner correspondence.

  • Research, order, and manage inventory and event materials.

  • Assist with sponsorship fulfillment, ensuring benefits are accurately delivered.

  • Provide support to the Development and External Relations teams as needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and data protection standards.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One or more years of experience in administrative or event coordination roles preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or event management software preferred.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Customer service–focused with a professional demeanor.

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

  • Access to a secure high-speed internet connection and quiet workspace for remote work.
