Customer Service Specialist
Fully Onsite: 
Monday-Thursday 8am- 5pm; Fridays from 8am-4pm
Hourly Rate: $17-21 (depending on experience)

Required Skills:

- A minimum of 3 years proven experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in customer service, sales, or quotations.
- Strong background in manufacturing, construction, architecture, or engineering fields.
- Proficient in Outlook email and excellent telephone communication skills.
- Advanced communication abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately enter orders and resolve issues swiftly.
- Proficient in performing mathematical functions, such as calculating commissions and quotations.

Job Description:

  • Everyday customer support via phone and email communication (sometimes face to face).
  • Fulfill typical customer requests: pricing/quotes, technical product questions and troubleshooting, product availability, product lead time, invoice information, customization capabilities, freight issues, damaged products, replacement parts, warranty details, commission/payment issues, purchase orders, etc.
  • Frequent order review and entry. Includes checking part number(s) for errors, confirming project and customer location(s), calculating and assigning appropriate commission levels to the appropriate rep(s) and entering order details into Brownlee’s manufacturing software. Order entry is of the utmost importance and mistakes must be avoided, therefore candidate must be organized and acutely detail-oriented.
  • Quick and effective resolution of technical product issues, job problems, and customer disputes. Always following up with customers to be proactive and stay ahead of potentially bigger issues.
  • Candidate will work closely not only with the customer service team, but also with other departments such as sales, engineering, and production on a daily basis. The ability to multi-task and work well with others is critical in this position.
