Administrative Support – Dean’s Office (Temporary)
Hourly pay: $20-22
Location: Lake Nona (Fully onsite)
Duration: 8+ weeks - Starts Monday, February 9th
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Administrative Support professional to assist the Dean’s Office while a staff member is out on leave. This role will work closely with and take direction from a designated staff coordinator and will be a key point of support for daily operations within the Dean’s Office.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting leadership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and isn’t afraid to ask questions to ensure work is done accurately and efficiently.

- Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable demeanor
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Comfort interacting with an executive-level audience
- Basic administrative skills, including:
- Calendar management
- Email management
- Meeting setup and coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Naturally curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions
- Experience in higher education is a plus, but not required
- Provide administrative support to the Dean’s Office, backfilling for a staff member on leave
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel as needed
- Handle phone and email correspondence with professionalism and discretion
- Monitor and manage incoming communications (email, phone, mail), responding directly or routing appropriately
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and committee activities
- Support committee work, including:
- Agenda preparation
- Taking and distributing meeting minutes
- Organizing and sharing related documents
- Maintain confidential files, records, and data in compliance with university policies
- Assist with travel arrangements, conference reservations, and meeting logistics
- Support basic budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and purchasing processes as needed
