Accounts Payable Coordinator Needed for Growing Construction Company!
-Onsite with flexibility to work from home after 90 days
-$60,000 - $70,000 annually
-Comprehensive benefit package, annual bonus eligibility
Our well-established construction client is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit jobsite-generated invoices, ensuring proper approvals, accurate payment amounts, and inclusion of sales tax when needed
- Verify coding and approvals for overhead invoices and process credit card statements, confirming complete coding, approvals, business purpose, and payment accuracy
- Ensure timely invoice processing to meet payment deadlines for various invoices and subcontractors
- Distribute payments, reconcile outstanding payables, and maintain subcontractor compliance records
- Set up new vendors by reviewing and processing W-9 forms
- Collaborate with Project Accountants on invoice discrepancies, sales tax adjustments, and documentation needs
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate outstanding checks, and generate AP reports as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a mid- to large-size construction company
- Strong communication skills
- Construction experience preferred
- Understanding of 1099 requirements and sales tax accruals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong teamwork skills with an ability to promote adherence to AP policies and procedures
