Job Description

Accounting Opportunity with a National Healthcare Company – Orlando, FL
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 | Fully In-Office

Tews Company is partnering with a leading national healthcare organization to hire a full-time Accountant for their Orlando office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that supports high-quality patient care through accurate financial management and reporting.

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and fixed asset management, ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP. This position is fully in-office in Orlando and offers a salary range of $65,000 to $70,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complies with Standard Operating Procedures and company policies

  • Performs assigned duties related to month-end close processes

  • Prepares, verifies, allocates, posts, reconciles, and resolves discrepancies in accounts

  • Prepares and enters journal entries, including allocations and accruals

  • Prepares General Ledger account reconciliations to explain variances from prior periods and/or budget

  • Prepares weekly payroll entries and maintains prepaid schedules

  • Performs data entry in connection with report preparation

  • Collaborates with various teams to ensure accurate information for coding invoices

  • Responds to inquiries from internal and external parties

  • Ability to work in a team environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university preferred

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • Proven experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation

  • Advanced Excel skills required, including proficiency with PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions

Additional Requirements

  • Employment contingent on background check and, if applicable, drug screening

  • Valid driver’s license if required for the role

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Fully in-office in Orlando, FL

  • Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use

  • Ability to focus on detailed work and maintain confidentiality

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with email, internet research, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and accounting software

  • Comfortable using Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting
