Accounting Opportunity with a National Healthcare Company – Orlando, FL
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 | Fully In-Office
Tews Company is partnering with a leading national healthcare organization to hire a full-time Accountant for their Orlando office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that supports high-quality patient care through accurate financial management and reporting.
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and fixed asset management, ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP. This position is fully in-office in Orlando and offers a salary range of $65,000 to $70,000.
Key Responsibilities

Complies with Standard Operating Procedures and company policies

Performs assigned duties related to month-end close processes

Prepares, verifies, allocates, posts, reconciles, and resolves discrepancies in accounts

Prepares and enters journal entries, including allocations and accruals

Prepares General Ledger account reconciliations to explain variances from prior periods and/or budget

Prepares weekly payroll entries and maintains prepaid schedules

Performs data entry in connection with report preparation

Collaborates with various teams to ensure accurate information for coding invoices

Responds to inquiries from internal and external parties

Ability to work in a team environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university preferred

5–7 years of relevant experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Proven experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation

Advanced Excel skills required, including proficiency with PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions

Valid driver’s license if required for the role
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Fully in-office in Orlando, FL

Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use

Ability to focus on detailed work and maintain confidentiality
Technical Skills

Proficient with email, internet research, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and accounting software

Comfortable using Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting
