Accounts Payable (AP) Lead – Contract Needed for Orlando Nonprofit!
Accounts Payable (AP) Lead – Contract with high potential to become permanent.
Pay: $26–$30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Setting: 100% onsite
Tews Company is proud to partner with a well-respected nonprofit organization in need of a Long Term Contract AP Lead. This is a unique opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role within a purpose-driven team led by one of the most supportive and mission-aligned leaders we’ve had the pleasure of working with.
As the organization continues to grow and evolve, this AP Lead will provide much-needed support during a team member’s extended leave. You’ll join a stable and collaborative accounting team and help divide responsibilities for improved efficiency, stronger internal controls, and continuity of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Process 700–900 AP invoices monthly, split between ACH and check payments

Manage vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, credit card transactions, and lease-related payables

Oversee and mentor one AP Specialist while actively engaging in daily processing

Support construction-related payables, including managing multi-vendor projects

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and workflow

Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and tax exemption requirements

Collaborate across departments, including construction management and finance leadership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of full-cycle AP experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field – or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

Experience managing lease payments

Familiarity with PN3 and Paycom preferred

Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive with strong communication skills

Experience with construction-related AP (lien waivers, subcontractor billing) is a plus
