Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to oversee and process accurate, timely bi-weekly payroll for 300+ employees across multiple states. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll through ADP Workforce Now, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and delivering exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 300+ employees using ADP Workforce Now.

  • Manage payroll for employees in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida, ensuring compliance with all state-specific regulations.

  • Review, validate, and reconcile timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments prior to payroll submission.

  • Maintain and update employee payroll data including new hires, terminations, transfers, and compensation changes.

  • Ensure proper taxation for multi-state payroll and stay current on state and federal payroll laws.

  • Handle payroll-related reporting, including 401(k), garnishments, PTO accruals, and benefits deductions.

  • Generate and distribute reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing accurate and timely resolution.

  • Support year-end activities including W-2 preparation, tax filings, and reconciliations.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll experience with direct responsibility for processing payroll for 250+ employees.

  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now required.

  • Strong understanding of multi-state payroll (NC, TN, GA, FL).

  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.

  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

  • Payroll certification (CPP or FPC) a plus.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and integrations.
