Job Description
Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Hybrid Remote
Overview: Join the leadership team of a local non-profit as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s financial future! As the CFO, you will oversee all financial-related activities, ensuring the health and sustainability of our council while supporting our mission to empower girls across North Florida. This hybrid position allows you to balance in-office collaboration with remote flexibility, making it an exciting opportunity for innovative leaders ready to make a meaningful impact.
Required Skills:
- Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Experience in fund accounting or nonprofit accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operating budgets of at least $10 million.
- Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and integration for organizational success.
- Significant leadership experience, including a track record of managing and guiding teams at the C-level.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Active CPA certification.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Executive team and Board experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience.
- At least 6 years of leadership experience.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time throughout the council jurisdiction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and Board members.
