Tews Company is looking for a strong IT leader with experience managing a Systems Administration or escalation support team.  Must have experience managing service levels and service delivery with a heavy emphasis on automation.  The Systems Administration Manager will Provide technical expertise, management, and prioritization of systems administration resources to deliver a service oriented approach to systems and service delivery. Delivers day to day escalation support to the service desk and other business users, and is responsible for maintaining the availability, performance, and integrity of the systems and services provided by this team.

· Manages an escalation support team dedicated to resolving issues related to the organizations servers and services

· Responsible for ensuring the operational side of the systems administration team consistently provides a high level of service when handling systems outages, issues, and escalation requests

· Oversees the daily activities of other systems administrators, and ensures they follow architectural and organizational standards

· Works closely with management to ensure the systems administration teams are aligned and operating in adherence to departmental goals and objectives

· Manages project costs and timelines with other systems administrators, and proactively communicates updates to senior leadership

· Develops a service focused team based on ITIL and/or other best practices and frameworks

· Improve, operate, and maintain the corporate SCOM alerting and monitoring platform for systems and business critical services

· Helps drive the adoption of systems administration operational strategies, standards, and best practices across all areas of the company

· Responds to systems incidents according to organizational incident handling policies

· Documents and reports on established key performance metrics driving high levels of service to the business

· Ensures systems infrastructure is performing optimally, and has the appropriate capacity for continued availability and performance

· Delivers service levels in support of SLAs for all critical business services
· Due to the 24x7 operations of the business, must be able to work a flexible work schedule when needed; may include nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

· Must have experience building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders including senior-level technical and non-technical staff
· Excellent communication, documentation, prioritization, customer service and change management skills
· Shows a strong sense of urgency in resolving disruptions in service performance or availability
· Capable of identify systems issues based on risk, and demonstrate the value of mitigating controls
· Must be detailed in documenting information, highly organized, and practice good follow- through techniques
· Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in order to maintain required productivity level

Education & Experience:  
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
· 8+ years experience in IT infrastructure to include experience managing a team responsible for handling escalated tickets, and ongoing server and systems maintenance
· At least 5 years experience supervising small to medium sized technical groups
· Requires extensive experience in systems administration with a proven track record of success. Must possess detailed experience supporting a complex, mixed server environment within a datacenter
· Experience analyzing and correlating information contained within system event logs, with information found in other application tools to determine root cause for systems issues
· Knowledge and experience with Cisco UCS infrastructure hardware
· Extensive experience with Microsoft cloud services such as Sharepoint and Exchange online
· Extensive experience with VMware enterprise virtualization technologies in a large scale, distributed environment
