Position Description: 

Summary:  The Employee Benefits Account Executive – Marketing position provides direct daily support in the marketing and renewals relating to an assigned book of business, and the respective Producer.

Essential Duties and Functions:  

  • Provide excellent customer service to the clients’ employee membership, as well as the carrier account management teams.
  • Provide documentation and guidance to client employees regarding medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and FSA programs, COBRA, Healthcare Reform, Federal and State Mandates, and other related employee benefit and compliance topics.
  • Understand health and benefits products, services and tools to educate membership of what is available through their existing program(s).
  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and online enrollment technology systems
  • Document sales information into the internal management databases.
  • Requires travel for client/enrollment meetings or presentations.
  • Work as a liaison between agents, account management and the insurance carriers.
  • Create and maintain carrier relationships.
  • Based on job assignment, duties and functions may also include: * Prepare customer renewal proposals while ensuring the use of internal required documents. *Prepare marketing analysis for new business development and client retention.
    • Review internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, summary plan documents (SPD’s) and employee communications to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.
    • Client specific projects as assigned including but not limited to implementation of a carrier transition, enrollment processing, billing reconciliation.
    • Coordinate wellness initiatives.
    • Respond to Prospect RFP’s.
    • Create employee communications such as Benefits Guides, Flyers, etc.
    • Conduct employee enrollment meetings.

  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong human relations and professional skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred)
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • MS Office proficiency 
  • Bilingual (preferred)                          
  • Life and Health license (preferred or willing to obtain license upon hire)
