This position is a fit for a person with the following skills/abilities:
Experience in health insurance administration
Adept with the computer and willingness to learn new applications
MS Office: Word and Excel
Professional written and verbal communications skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong ability to analyze documents - will work with contracts
Strong attention to detail is a must – along with propensity to take initiative
An understanding of basic accounting principles
AA from an accredited college or university is a plus
Health and Special Risk reinsurance knowledge preferred
LOMA or equivalent designation a big plus
Duties to include:
Maintain familiarity with client companies’ unique reporting styles and individualized contracts.
Coordinates with a claims examiner to obtain a claim review.
Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Compiles quarterly financial reporting items to include ICOS, experience refund calculations, client reported reserves, and medical stop loss claims data
Analyzes appropriateness of client company accounting statement information.
Perform reconciliation of client company reported accounting statement.
