Tews Company has an immediate need for an IT Specialist for our client located in Charlotte.  We need a team player with a can do attitude.  This is a direct hire/full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide level 1 technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems and peripherals, software, and hardware.
  • Maintain printer/copier supplies and service requests
  • Maintain IT asset lists and files

Knowledge:

  • Hardware: Desktops & Laptops, Servers, Printers & Peripherals, Setup & Installation, Troubleshooting & Repair
  • Desktop OS: Windows 7/8/10, Installation & Management
  • Server OS:  Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Network Hardware (Small Business): Routers, Wireless, Switches
  • Internet Connectivity Troubleshooting
  • Internet Technology Concepts: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP
  • Business Applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat & CC Suites, AutoDesk
  • Outlook: Account Setup, PST Import/Export, Exchange
  • Malware (Virus/Spyware/Trojan): Identification & Removal
  • Anti-Virus Applications:  Symantec Antivirus, Various Other Products
  • General PC Concepts: Performance Tune-ups, System Registry

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to handle a constantly changing flow of traffic and remain productive during slow times
  • Ability to demonstrate an immediate knowledge in the categories aforementioned
  • Ability to solve problems quickly (identify, analyze, and think abstractly)
