The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Finance and Accounting departments in support of efficient operations and company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position plans and executes accounting and reporting activities at the consolidated level by performing the following duties:

  • Internal Reporting

    • Prepares consolidated weekly metrics and cash flow reports, monthly financial statements and develops new reports within company financial reporting tools.

  • External Reporting

    • Consolidates monthly reporting, including written management discussion & analysis of results.

    • Develops, prepares and maintains monthly financial reporting package for investors and lenders, including report development within company financial reporting tools.

  • Planning & Analysis

    • Develops quarterly (monthly as needed) forecast reporting package and associated processes and models to support the development on a timely basis.

    • Supports operations by implementing cost-reduction and profit-improvement initiatives including development of reports, and analysis of account data. Displays intrinsic business intelligence and provides insightful reporting.

    • Customer pricing & profitability analysis to support new business development opportunities.

    • Ad hoc and special project cash flow analysis.

  • Accounting

    • Assist with month end processes, account reconciliations, and other accounting analysis as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be detail oriented, able to accurately and efficiently process transactions, and have experience working with large volume of data Includes strong data modeling skill set and experience working with data warehouse / extended spreadsheet database applications.

  • Solid understanding of company policies and procedures.

  • Passion for continuous improvement.

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds on occasion.

  • Ability to work additional hours if necessary.

Experience/Education:

  • BA/BS in finance, math or accounting required.
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in related discipline and/or CPA preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.

  • System Experience: Great Plains, Management Reporter, Business Intelligence 360, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Business Intelligence or similar desirable.
