You are:
  • Minimum eight (8) years of Public Relations, Communications, or Brand Marketing experience with at least two to three (2-3) in a social media leadership capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • AP Style proficient
  • Savvy across public relations, social media, and marketing communications
  • Track record of securing national and local coverage and experience working cross-functionally to execute strategic communication plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication with ability to present to Senior Leadership with poise and presence to sell in ideas
  • Ability to be on-call and available outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends, to field media calls and lead social media team as needed; some travel
  • Corporate or Agency experience required

What you will do?
Our partner is looking for a dynamic communications professional to lead consumer-facing PR and owned social media strategy and execution.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead an external PR agency, internal team, and work cross-functionally to create ownable, relevant content and activations that inform and inspire what people think, feel, and do related to the brand
  • Lead development and execution of owned social strategy that translates into increased reach, consideration, visits, and brand love
  • Oversee development and execution of owned social calendar spanning all relevant channels (e.g., FB, IG, TikTok)
  • Manage resources, tasks, contracts, scope, and budgets for projects; support others in budgeting, contract agreements, and invoice payment for vendor-related work
  • Lead proactive identification of local media opportunities as well as vetting and coordination of all filming requests
  • Be proactive and nimble in looking for opportunities to leverage cultural relevance, insert the brand in conversation, and capitalize on brand mentions
  • Lead social media activations in collaboration with agencies and cross-functional team
  • Manage materials development, approvals coordination and project execution
  • Lead internal designer and agencies in development of breakthrough creative
  • Stay current on knowledge of consumer and industry trends, preferences, and needs
  • Analyze business results, and when necessary, communicate optimization recommendations
  • Develop team members by seeking out and supporting training,
What Technologies You will be Working With
  • Strong in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sprinklr
  • Experience managing business accounts for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Analytics
