You are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of prior bookkeeping experience, dealing with project management, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Must be able to work independently on targeted tasks, coordinate with teams and manage staff and assist team members as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to provide leadership, coaching, guidance and direction to internal or external teams engaged in various projects.
  • Superior skills with proven experience managing multiple projects and teams, set priorities within tight timelines, while meeting or exceeding client expectations.

What you will do?
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Accounting Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the Company, has extensive Board level exposure and is charged with ensuring all Projects, Services and Headquarters Operations are performed to the budget expectations and company operations budget, tracking and reporting all company financial data is accurate and appropriately performed.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Marketing and Consulting Director in the creation of Statements of Work, checking Margin and consultant rates charged and paid and other client documents, as requested.
  • Responsible for Onboarding and Training new consultants to use the SpringAhead tracking system and function as a resource for questions regarding general orientation.
  • Prepare QuickBooks invoicing items and information for submission to clients weekly, and check for accuracy as they are sent to clients.
  • Release funds from ADP for both 1099’s and Employees.
  • Monitor all banking transactions and on a monthly basis, reconcile receipts to bank and credit card statements.
  • Prepare Monthly Close procedures.
  • Manage accounts payable activities including payment of bills, as well as maintaining contractor tax and deposit information to ensure cash flow requirements of business are met.
  • Ensure County, State and Federal taxes are paid on schedule and filings are mailed.
  • Ensure all vendors are under contract or relationships established, paid and records maintained.
  • Manage and review work of staff accountant.
  • Reports: Gross and Net Profit Margins, Overall, by project, by business sector: Pharma/Device, Temp staff, Days sales outstanding, Budget to Plan, AP/AR, CEO Reports, Average hourly rate overall and by project type and consultant.
  • Tracks, updates and reports on all Active Projects Budgets weekly at Team Alignment Meeting showing PO value remaining.
  • Assists in creating forecasting budgets and tracks targets throughout the year
  • Presents weekly Financial results scorecard at Team Alignment Meeting, Monthly Leadership Meetings and Board Meetings

What Technologies You will be Working With:
  • Must be familiar with QuickBooks, Microsoft products and management tools such as SharePoint, Time Tracking System (ie: SpringAhead) and Teams.
  • Strong Excel skills
